1. Information We Collect
We collect personal information you provide during registration, such as name, email, phone number, address, and payment details. We may also collect usage data, device information, and location data to improve services.
2. How We Use Your Information
Your data is used to facilitate rentals, verify accounts, process payments, communicate with you, and improve the platform experience. We do not sell your data to third parties.
3. Data Sharing
We share your data only with trusted service providers such as payment processors and messaging infrastructure to perform essential platform functions.
If you submit identity verification documents (e.g., a government-issued ID and selfie), these are stored securely and reviewed only by authorized platform administrators for verification purposes. We do not share these materials with third parties unless legally required.
4. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce agreements.
5. Security Measures
We use industry-standard encryption and security protocols to protect your personal data. However, no system is completely secure.
6. Location & Proximity Data
When you enable location sharing during an active booking, we may collect your latitude/longitude, accuracy, timestamp, and the associated booking ID. Sources may include GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and cell data.
How we use it: to show ETA/distance to pickup/return points and to send the host proximity alerts at thresholds (≈10, 5, 1, and ~0.25 miles). Hosts generally see coarse distance/threshold alerts, not your exact path, unless you explicitly share it.
Controls: you can pause sharing in the booking screen or via iOS Settings → Privacy → Location Services. Choosing “Always” permission enables background updates, but only while a booking is active.
Retention: recent location points and proximity triggers are kept for up to 30 days for risk/audit, then deleted or aggregated.
Push tokens: to deliver notifications, we store device push tokens (e.g., FCM/APNs). You can disable notifications in iOS Settings or revoke app permissions at any time.
We do not sell location data or use it for advertising.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to access, update, or delete your data. You may also request to opt out of certain communications or data processing.
8. Cancellation Policy
Users may cancel bookings based on the listing’s cancellation terms. Cancellation fees may apply depending on timing. Users who abuse the cancellation system may be restricted.
9. Community Guidelines
Users are expected to treat each other with respect, follow local laws, and use the platform responsibly. Harassment, hate speech, or abusive behavior will not be tolerated.
10. Additional Policies
Additional policies may apply to certain categories of listings or user conduct. These will be clearly posted or notified through the app as necessary.
11. Nondiscrimination Policy
We are committed to creating an inclusive community. Discrimination based on race, gender, religion, disability, sexual orientation, or any protected status is strictly prohibited.
12. Updates to Policy
We may update this policy occasionally. Significant changes will be communicated via email or app notification. Continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
13. Identity Verification Privacy
To access high-value listings, users may be required to verify their identity by submitting a photo ID and a selfie. These materials are stored securely in our system and reviewed solely by trained administrators for verification purposes. We do not use, sell, or share these files for any other purpose. You may request deletion of your verification data at any time.
